What is the religious ruling on seeking a divorce from a husband who is discovered to have continued a forbidden relationship after his alleged repentance and a return to him for its sake?

If a husband is engaged in an illicit relationship, his wife is not blameworthy for seeking a divorce from him due to his wickedness and immorality. Nevertheless, the wife should not despair of trying to reform her husband. She should seek help from righteous people to advise him, urge him to associate with righteous individuals and listen to admonitions, and cooperate with him in obeying Allah, while persistently supplicating for his guidance. If these efforts are not fruitful, then divorce is the last resort.
