To what extent is the claim true that the People of the Sunnah do not narrate Hadith from the People of the Household, and what is the refutation to it?

Ahl al-Sunnah (definition) love the Household of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and show them loyalty, believing in their virtue and status. Imam al-Dhahabi praised the scholars from the Household, such as Imam Ali, Al-Hasan (definition), Al-Husayn, Zayn al-'Abidin, Al-Baqir, Al-Sadiq, Al-Kazim, Al-Rida, and others, highlighting their virtue and knowledge.

Ahl al-Sunnah meticulously incorporate narrations from the Household in their compiled works. Books of Tafsir (definition) (exegesis), Hadith (definition), and Fiqh (jurisprudence) are filled with their sayings. The number of their narrations may vary depending on several factors, including: the extent of the narrator's dedication to seeking Hadith, the extent of their dedication to conveying their knowledge, and the length of their lifespan after the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) passing.

For instance, the narrations from Imam Ali are numerous due to his prolonged life, while those from Fatimah are few due to her early demise. The narrations from Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn are few due to their young age at the time of the Prophet's death. Hundreds of narrations have been transmitted from Muhammad al-Baqir and Ja'far al-Sadiq in Sunni books, which indicates Ahl al-Sunnah's interest in their knowledge.

In conclusion, Ahl al-Sunnah love the Household and meticulously attend to their narrations. The paucity of narrations from some of them does not imply neglect but rather relates to reasons concerning the narrators themselves.
