How do you explain the apparent contradiction between condemning prolonged hope in this worldly life and it being a driving force for establishing projects and cultivating the earth?

"Lengthening of hopes" ( طول الأمل ) is the act of not remembering death, or it is the eagerness for this worldly life, plunging into it, loving it, and turning away from the Hereafter. The precise definition of this is immersing oneself in worldly life while turning away from the Hereafter. As for merely preparing for a need, for projects, and saving for them, this is not considered "lengthening of hopes." Rather, it is something commendable both legally (in Islamic law) and rationally. Thus, there is no impediment for a Muslim to undertake projects, while also being prepared to meet Allah, and intending through these projects to benefit themselves and those who come after them.
