Is there anything impermissible in saying "may God remember him with goodness" when mentioning a person?

The phrase "May Allah remember with good whoever remembers me by it" (ذكر الله بخير من ذكرني به) has not been observed to contain anything indicating its prohibition. It is a common phrase and has not been denied by any of the scholars. It has been reported that Allah remembers His servant if the servant remembers Him, as in the verse: {So remember Me; I will remember you} (Quran 2:152). And in the Hadith Qudsi: "If he remembers Me to himself, I remember him to Myself; and if he remembers Me in a gathering, I remember him in a gathering better than that." There is also a hadith, "If one of you hears a ringing in his ear, let him remember me and send blessings upon me, and say: 'May Allah remember with good whoever remembers me by it.'" Al-Haythami graded this hadith as hasan (good), while Al-Iraqi graded it as da'if (weak), and some have exaggerated in describing it as fabricated.
