What is the ruling on taking food designated for those breaking their fast in the the mosque to one's home after consuming the iftar meal?

If the food that is taken is in excess of need and there is a concern that it might spoil, then giving it to someone who can benefit from it is better than leaving it to वेस्ट. This should be done after obtaining permission from those in charge of the charitable work. However, if the needs of those for whom the food was prepared have not been met, or if the food can be utilized at other times, then it is not permissible to take it without permission. The same applies if those in charge prohibit it, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "The wealth of a Muslim person is not permissible except with his willing consent."
