Is it permissible to add the diacritics and variants specific to other recitations of the Qur'an to one's personal copy of the Mus'haf for the purpose of diversifying recitation and learning, given the unavailability of Mus'hafs with those recitations and the absence of harm to the appearance of the Mus'haf or its readability by others?

Electronic versions of the Holy Quran are available in the ten recitations, and these can be utilized. They are better than writing on the margins of the mushaf and coloring the diacritics. Some scholars disliked coloring the different recitations with varying colors within a single mushaf, fearing confusion. Indeed, Imam Abu Amr al-Dani stated that this is among the greatest forms of confusion and alteration of the established script.
