Are there any Hadiths that prohibit hitting children? Thank you.

Light, non-bruising corporal punishment for a child is permissible and legislated when needed, if the child deserves it and if it serves his best interest, such as for discipline or accustoming him to prayer after the age of ten. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) struck an orphan for discipline, and Imam Ahmad permitted light striking of a child for educational purposes. Ibn al-Jawzi mentioned that if a child needs to be struck, he should be struck with a light, non-bruising blow.
