And what is the ruling on joining mixed educational groups that contain posts that might violate Islamic law, knowing that the goal is to seek knowledge and that the image display feature is disabled?

Publishers of forbidden images should not be added to social media platforms, as this assists in their proliferation. As for joining permissible scholarly groups that are not predominantly engaged in publishing reprehensible content, there is no harm in it, provided one lowers their gaze from any forbidden images that appear and denounces them as much as possible. It is preferable and safer to disable the image display feature.
