Is it permissible for someone who has not learned from religious scholars to deliver sermons, and for his sermons to be for his personal benefit?

Knowledge is gained through learning, and correct learning comes from scholars, not solely from books. Oratory requires competence, along with not delving into what one does not know. The Friday sermon has conditions and pillars, including: praising Allah, sending blessings upon the Prophet, reciting a verse, admonition, standing and sitting between the two sermons, and being delivered after the time for prayer has begun. The sermon should be for the benefit of Muslims, and there is no objection to the khatib (preacher) dedicating a part of it to his personal benefit to address a misconception or grievance, after fulfilling the obligations and pillars, as long as he does not do anything that violates Islamic law.
