Is it permissible for a Muslim to recite the Quran and teach it to others without being a scholar or a shaykh, and what is the reward for doing so?

Teaching the recitation of the Holy Quran is one of the best and purest deeds, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it." Through this act, a Muslim attains goodness and a high status. It is a call to Allah, and the Holy Quran encourages it in His Almighty saying: "But be [inscribed] as devotees of the Lord because of what you have taught of the Scripture and because of what you have studied." It is advisable to continue teaching the Quran to adults and children, provided that the teacher masters what they teach of recitation, and does not delve into interpretation and rulings except after studying and mastering them. One can also read the interpretations of trustworthy scholars. This act is great and rewarded, contributing to building a righteous generation and instilling the Quran in hearts. It is not a condition for performing it that the teacher be a Sheikh or a scholar.
