What is the ruling on saying "You are divorced, you are divorced, you are divorced" to the wife after she leaves without prior permission for divorce in the event of her departure, with doubt about the existence of another previous contingent divorce, and after two months of no reconciliation and fighting—does the divorce take effect or not?

A divorce in accordance with the Sunnah is a single divorce during a period of purity (ṭuhr) in which no intercourse has occurred. Contradicting this by issuing successive divorces or combining multiple divorces in a single utterance is considered contrary to the Sunnah and leads to significant harms. Issuing three divorces makes a woman irrevocably separated (baynunah kubra). The questioner's divorcing his wife three times by way of suspension, then by saying "divorced, divorced, divorced," and then by another divorce, renders her irrevocably separated from him according to the majority of scholars. It becomes unlawful for him to live with her until she marries another husband, if the last divorce occurred before the expiration of her waiting period (iddah). However, if it occurred after the expiration of her iddah, the last divorce does not take effect.
