Is a marriage contract considered valid if it was conducted without witnesses, knowing that it was documented in court due to ignorance of the necessity of witnesses?

A marriage contract is not valid without witnesses. If there are no witnesses, neither at the time of the contract nor before consummation, then it is an invalid marriage that must be renewed, fulfilling its pillars and conditions, including the presence of the guardian and witnesses. Children are attributed to the husband due to the belief in the validity of the marriage. It is advisable to present the matter directly to the Sharia courts, Islamic centers, or scholars.
