Is it permissible for my mother to slaughter and give charity after her waiting period has ended?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Islam encourages charity and promises abundant recompense and return to those who give it. Allah Almighty says: "Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him and he will have a noble reward?" (Al-Hadid: 11), and "But whatever thing you spend [in His cause] - He will compensate it; and He is the best of providers." (Saba: 39), and "The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills." (Al-Baqarah: 261). And in the Hadith: "O Allah, give recompense to the one who spends, and give destruction to the one who withholds." This reward encompasses men and women in all times and circumstances.
