Is frequently listening to permissible shilat [poetic chants], especially those that are amatory but not obscene, considered makruh [reprehensible] or haram [forbidden]?

It is disliked to excessive in reciting and listening to poetry, as it may lead one to the unlawful. The Malikis consider it disliked to indulge excessively in poetry that is not needed. The Hanafis consider it disliked if it describes bodily charms, or mentions فسق (sinfulness) and wine. The Shafi'is dislike a man describing his wife’s charms in a way that should be kept private, and it becomes unlawful if it causes her harm. The Hanbalis dislike satire and delicate poetry that flirts with women. Flirting becomes unlawful if it is with a specific woman who is not permissible for him, even if it is not indecent.
