Is it permissible to play the game "Flight Simulator" to explore cities, knowing that statues, crosses, and similar objects appear in some non-Muslim cities within the game?

One should not enter places or cities where the cross is displayed, as Islamic law came to obliterate crosses and statues. The jurists stipulated that the prohibition includes displaying crosses, and is not limited to making or acquiring them. It is stated in the Kuwaiti Encyclopedia of Fiqh that it is not permissible for a Muslim to make a cross or order its making, nor to acquire it, nor to display it in the Muslims’ streets and places, due to the hadith of Adi ibn Hatim: “Cast away from you this idol,” and the hadith of Abu Umamah: “Indeed, Allah sent me as a mercy and guidance to the worlds, and commanded me to efface flutes, musical instruments, idols, and crosses, and the affairs of Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance).” Similarly, the cross should be effaced from programs and icons where it appears, if possible, and there is no difference in effacement and removal between the cross appearing in icons and programs and that appearing in games.
