What is the ruling on shunning one's father due to his inappropriate behavior and constant demands for money, and will God be angry with the daughter if something bad befalls him while she is not speaking to him?

Allah the Almighty commands us to honor our parents and treat them with kindness, even if one or both of them reach old age. Do not utter a word of complaint to them, nor scold them, but speak to them with respectful words. It was narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that the mother is the most deserving of good companionship three times, then the father. You must mend your relationship with your father before his death to avoid severing ties of kinship, and do not let money be a reason for distancing yourself from Allah. And if the father wrongs, the child is not to wrong him in return, but rather should take the initiative to treat him with kindness.
