ما معنى بيع العينة؟
'Bay' al-'inah' is when a person sells a commodity for a deferred price, then buys it back for a lower cash price. This is forbidden according to the majority of scholars because it is a usurious trick, as if it were a loan with an increment in the form of a sale. Its prohibition is indicated by the hadith of Ibn Umar: "If you engage in 'bay' al-'inah... Allah will impose humiliation upon you, which He will not remove until you return to your religion." 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) invalidated Zayd ibn Arqam's jihad because of his engagement in this type of sale. Moreover, one who deceives regarding the forbidden increases in wickedness and combines both the forbidden and deception of Allah.
