Are the two rak'ahs in the depths of the night better than the world and all that is in it, and with Allah better than the obligatory prayers?

The night prayer is not superior to the obligatory prayer, although it is one of the best supererogatory acts and greatest in reward. The proof for this is the noble Hadith: "The best prayer after the obligatory prayers is a man's prayer in the depths of the night." As for the Hadith that states that two rak'ahs in the depths of the night are better than the world and all that it contains, it is narrated as mursal (missing a Companion in the chain of narration), and Al-Albani ruled it to be weak.
