The answer

Marriage may be obligatory if a Muslim fears falling into sin, and it is recommended if there is no such fear. It is forbidden if the man has no sexual desire or is impotent, as this would harm the wife. For those capable, marriage is better due to the texts that encourage it, such as the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Marry, for I will boast of your numbers before the nations," and his saying: "Marry, even if it be with a ring of iron." Marriage preserves one's religion, protects women, increases offspring, and fulfills the Prophet's (peace be upon him) boasting. It is advisable for those who have turned away from marriage to hasten to it, as it is from the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
