It is not permissible to abort a fetus, even if it is before the completion of forty days of its formation, because it is an assault on the origin of human creation. Neither the husband's consent or lack thereof, nor the existence of a contraceptive, affects this ruling. Abortion is only permissible out of necessity if there is fear for the mother's life or if she contracts a disease that would affect her life.
