Is intercourse obligatory after the husband takes back his wife who was revocably divorced, if the divorce occurred during a period of purity in which he had touched her?

The right of return (referring to the wife) belongs to the husband as long as his revocable divorcee is within her iddah (waiting period). He is not obligated to have sexual intercourse with his wife after her return (revocation of divorce), and the validity of the return does not depend on sexual intercourse. Divorce pronounced during a period of purity in which sexual intercourse occurred is an innovative (bidi) divorce, but it is effective according to the majority of scholars.
