Why does a Muslim born to Muslim parents, who performed rituals without inquiring into or reflecting upon the soundness of their belief—following the example of the disbelievers who said, "This is what we found our fathers upon"—enter Paradise, while the fate of a non-Muslim is Hellfire despite their good deeds?

Whoever is born a Muslim should thank Allah for the blessing of Islam. He is not obligated to doubt his religion or to research its correctness. Rather, he should increase his faith by contemplating Allah's signs. His faith is not harmed by being a follower, for the faith of a follower is sound and beneficial. As for the disbeliever, whatever good deeds he performs in this world, his ultimate destination in the Hereafter is the Fire. Allah may grant him blessings in this world as a reward for his good deeds, but he will have no share in the Hereafter. And Allah is not questioned about what He does.
