Is it permissible to secretly marry a domestic worker without informing the family, in order to avoid transgressing the limits set by Allah?

It is not permissible to be alone with a female worker or to mix with her if it leads to fitna (temptation/discord). As for marrying her, informing the children or sisters is not a condition for its validity. However, ijāb (offer) and qabūl (acceptance) between the husband and the woman's walī (guardian) – or his representative – in the presence of two witnesses are required. The woman's walī is: her father, then her grandfather, then her son, then her full brother, then her half-brother (from the father's side), then their sons, then the paternal uncles. If there is no walī, the judge marries her. If the contract is concluded with its conditions and pillars, it is valid even if the family does not know. It is disliked to keep the marriage secret and hidden. Furthermore, documenting the contract in courts is essential to safeguard rights.
