What information is there regarding the reburial of the martyrs of Uhud?

The Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded that the martyrs of Uhud be buried on the battlefield. Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir mentioned that the Prophet's caller announced the return of the slain to their resting places. Al-Bayhaqi and Ibn Ishaq narrated from Jabir ibn Abdullah that when Mu'awiyah dug a spring near the graves of the martyrs of Uhud after forty years, they were exhumed and found as if they had been buried the day before. Some of them were bleeding when their wounds were touched, and a musk-like scent emanated from their graves.
