How do I know that I have wept out of the fear of Allah?

Anyone who perceives their state with their Lord, if their fear and sorrow intensify due to their shortcomings in fulfilling Allah's rights, to the point of weeping, then they have wept out of the fear of Allah. To achieve this, one must strive in supplication, constantly reflect on the flaws and shortcomings of the self, and be conscious of Allah's grandeur. For whoever contemplates Allah's magnificence and what He deserves of veneration, awe, and fear, and then reflects upon their own shortcomings, their eyes will overflow with tears out of fear, trepidation, and shyness.
