Did the divorce take place when the husband issued a threat? Is reconciliation valid without a new contract or mahr? Will another divorce occur if the wife does something her husband forbade her from doing after he said, "This is the last time"?

If the wording of the divorce condition does not imply repetition (e.g., "If you do this" or "should you do this"), then the divorce occurs upon the first instance of the conditioned act, and the condition terminates. However, if the wording implies repetition (e.g., "every time" or "whenever"), then the divorce occurs each time the act is repeated. The occurrence of divorce upon the fulfillment of the condition is the view of the majority of scholars, in contrast to Ibn Taymiyyah, who holds that an expiation for a broken oath (kaffarat yameen) is due if the husband did not intend divorce.
