Is it permissible for me to commit suicide to escape the obsessive-compulsive thoughts I suffer from, for which I have found no solution, knowing that I am ashamed to confide in my father about my problem?

This world is a place of trial, and a person is tested according to the strength of their faith. Therefore, you must be patient, not despair, and have trust in Allah. Do not pay attention to intrusive thoughts (waswas), seek refuge in Allah from Satan, and strive against your lower self through remembrance (dhikr) and reading the Quran. Know that Allah does not hold us accountable for the fleeting thoughts of our hearts. If the intrusive thoughts persist, seek help from a psychiatrist. Suicide is forbidden for you, as killing oneself is among the major sins.
