Are the profits from a project established with an interest-based loan permissible, and is working in it permissible?
Whoever takes a loan with usury must repent to Allah and try to repay only the principal without the increase. If he is unable to do so and is forced to repay the amount with the increase, he must repent and seek forgiveness. It is permissible for him to benefit from what he bought or established with this money, and he should give abundant charity to purify his wealth and himself. It is permissible to work in institutions that were established with money borrowed with usury as long as the work itself is permissible.
