The wording of divorce is divided into explicit (sarih) and allusive (kinayah). Explicit is what is commonly used for divorce, such as "You are divorced." Allusive is what could mean divorce or something else, like "That's the door." Divorce by allusion requires the intention of divorcing. Doubt about the intention of divorce does not remove the certainty of the marriage bond, so the wife remains within the marriage bond. As for obsessive doubts (waswasah), they do not affect the matter of divorce as long as the person is aware of what he is saying.
