Will Allah Almighty answer my supplication, or will He save something in return for me by granting me success and other supplications? And if He does not answer, will the angels hold me accountable for my sins? And is it permissible for a Muslim to supplicate to Allah for healing, only to be afflicted with more severe illnesses? And can a Muslim supplicate for his zakat to be multiplied, only for his financial affairs to be corrupted?

Allah is All-Wise; He places things in their proper positions. He may delay the answer to a supplication out of wisdom. A servant will not be deprived of good by his supplication; either it will be answered, or evil will be averted from him, or it will be stored for him for the Hereafter. A servant should not abandon supplication out of despair, for Allah is more merciful to His servant than a mother to her child. It is necessary to entrust all matters to Allah, rely on Him, and be content with His decree, while striving diligently in supplication, not hastening the response, and enduring calamities. For, "No disaster strikes except by permission of Allah. And whoever believes in Allah - He will guide his heart." Seeking forgiveness is a means to attract blessings and repel misfortunes, as Noah (peace be upon him) said: "And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [copious] showers And give you increase in wealth and children and make for you gardens and make for you rivers.'"
