Is it permissible to learn the rules of Qur'anic recitation and memorization in a mosque that contains a grave, while not performing prayers therein?

There is no textual evidence (from Islamic law) that prohibits learning the Quran in a mosque that contains a grave. However, a prohibition has been reported against taking graves as places of worship, as a means to prevent polytheism (shirk). Frequent attendance at these mosques to learn the Quran may lead to their veneration and seeking proximity to Allah there for blessings, which could eventually lead to grave worship. Furthermore, frequenting them implies an endorsement of their continued existence, whereas the mosque or grave should be removed. Therefore, it is not permissible to frequent these mosques or to build them up through Quranic study, as a means to prevent evil, and this practice should be denounced.
