What is the ruling on money earned by a taxi driver who transports customers to or from bars? And how does one repent from this work if it is forbidden?
It is permissible for your husband to work as a driver and transport customers to permissible places, and the earnings from that are lawful. However, transporting them to prohibited places, such as bars, is not permissible, because it is aiding in sin, and the earnings from it are unlawful. But it is permissible to transport them from these places to their homes. What the husband earns from his work depends on the permissibility of the work itself; so what is permissible, its earnings are permissible, and what is aiding in sin, its earnings are unlawful. Repentance from unlawful money is by feeling remorse, resolving not to return to it, and disposing of it.
