What was the belief of the early Household of the Prophet (Ahl al-Bayt) — such as Al-Hasan, Al-Husayn, Ali Zayn al-Abidin, Muhammad al-Baqir, Zayd ibn Ali, and Ja’far al-Sadiq — regarding the Companions and their ranking?

All those mentioned were trustworthy luminaries who respected the Companions and bore witness to their virtues. Hasan and Husayn are the masters of the youth of Paradise, and they named their children Abu Bakr and Umar. Ali Zayn al-Abidin, Muhammad, Zayd, and Ja'far believed in the virtue of the Companions, glorified them, and respected them. Ja'far al-Sadiq was an Imam from the Ahl al-Sunnah, and major scholars narrated from him. He and his father acknowledged the imamate of Abu Bakr and Umar and disavowed anyone who disavowed them.
