What is the ruling on a man attending prayer in the mosque, leaving his wife waiting in the car?

If the wife is harmed by remaining alone in the car, or if there is fear of harm to her, it is permissible for the husband to skip congregational prayer, because protecting life, property, and family are among the excuses that permit skipping the congregation. If no harm is feared for her, then he must pray in congregation.
