Allah accepts repentance and forgives sins, and His mercy is vast. The Muslim woman should learn from her past experiences by staying away from forbidden relationships and causes of temptation, and by adhering to the hijab and modesty. What happened should not prevent her from marrying; rather, she should marry for chastity. She should not inform the suitor about what occurred, and she must conceal her past. If she was compliant with the young man in what happened, then she has no right over him, and he is not obliged to fulfill the promise of marriage.
