Is it necessary to be able to recite a single “tasbeeh” (subhanallah) during bowing with the Imam to catch the rak'ah?

The sufficient minimum for catching the rukūʿ (bowing) with the Imām is for the maʾmūm (follower) to catch the sufficient amount of the rukūʿ before the Imām rises. The jurists have agreed that whoever catches the Imām in rukūʿ has caught the rakʿah (unit of prayer), based on the Prophet Muhammad's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Whoever catches the rukūʿ has caught the rakʿah." It is stipulated that ṭumaʾnīnah (tranquility/stillness) must be achieved before the Imām rises. The criterion for this, according to the Hanbalis, is catching the duration of one tasbīḥah (recitation of 'Subhānallāh').
