What is the ruling on the prayer of one who inadvertently omits the bowing (rukūʿ)? And what is required to be done in such a case?

If the Imam misses a bowing (rukūʿ), the congregants should alert him by saying "Subhan Allah" (Glory be to Allah). If he does not comply, the congregants should perform the bowing themselves and not follow him in omitting it. Whoever follows the Imam in omitting it, while knowing, invalidates their prayer. If one was ignorant, their prayer is not invalidated if they rectify the situation before a long separation. It is incumbent upon them to alert him after the prayer so that he may perform one rak'ah. If they do not do so, they are obliged to repeat the prayer. A prayer from which the bowing is omitted is not valid, whether this was intentional, due to forgetfulness, or ignorance.
