How is it possible to balance caring for one's mother, who asks to return and live by her side, with providing stability for the family, while taking into consideration financial circumstances?

Parents hold a great status in Islam. Allah has commanded us to be dutiful and good to them, coupling His right with theirs. The importance of filial piety is especially emphasized concerning the mother, due to the effort and care she expended on her child.

A man came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and asked him: "Who among the people is most deserving of my good companionship?" He said: "Your mother." He asked: "Then who?" He said: "Then your mother." He asked: "Then who?" He said: "Then your mother." He asked: "Then who?" He said: "Then your father."

Thus, satisfying the mother and returning to her is the most complete and perfect course of action. However, if the mother insists on her child's return, and there is no legitimate Shar'i reason, then he is not obligated to obey her, because scholars have stated that a child is permitted to travel for trade without the permission of his parents, provided he does not fear harm from it and is secure that his parents will not suffer loss in his absence.

Finally, we emphasize the importance of your diligent efforts to always satisfy your mother.
