How many times should the boycotter greet the one being boycotted in order to end the boycott, especially if the greeting is not returned after repeated attempts?

It is forbidden to abandon a Muslim for more than three nights unless there is a legitimate Sharia reason, based on the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "It is not permissible for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three nights. They meet, and this one turns away, and that one turns away. The better of them is the one who initiates the greeting of peace." The abandonment ceases with the greeting of peace, according to the majority of scholars. If the abandoned person does not return the greeting, he incurs sin, and the Muslim is absolved from the sin of abandonment. Ahmad and Ibn al-Qasim said: One is not absolved from the abandonment except by returning to the state that was initially present.
