The marriage of a Muslim woman to a non-Muslim is not permissible. A woman who marries a disbeliever is considered an adulteress, based on the Almighty's saying: "Neither are they [the believing women] lawful for them [the disbelievers], nor are they [the disbelievers] lawful for them [the believing women]." If a Muslim woman converts to Christianity, she has committed apostasy, which is a greater sin than adultery. In this case, her marriage is not valid, neither to a Muslim nor to a disbeliever.
