What is the clarification regarding the confusion surrounding the Hadith about a woman interrupting a man's prayer if she passes in front of him, which some quote to liken women to dogs?

Five points must be considered when understanding the issue of likening women to animals:

First: Any two existing things can share resemblances, even if only in some aspects, and this is not considered a flaw.

Second: When evaluating a simile, one must consider the "aspect of resemblance" (وجه الشبه) and not just the "thing being likened to" (المشبه به). For example, likening Ammar ibn Yasir's rolling in the dust to a beast rolling was not a dispraise, but rather due to a specific aspect of resemblance, which is the act of rolling.

Third: In the hadith (definition) about cutting off prayer, the aspect of resemblance is not the negative qualities of women, but rather their shared characteristic with donkeys and dogs in causing the worshipper's devotion to be interrupted. This interruption may not mean invalidating the prayer, but rather a deficiency in it or in the perfection of its devotion. Furthermore, the passing of any person in front of a worshipper is forbidden, whether male or female, human or animal, and all of that is considered an act of Satan.

Fourth: The interpretation of "cutting off" (القطع) mentioned in the hadith is that it does not mean invalidating the prayer, but rather an interruption of devotion or a decrease in reward due to distraction.

Fifth: It is unfair to ignore the texts that honor women in Islam, such as women being the sisters (or counterparts) of men, and that the Quran addresses women just as it addresses men.
