Why was it not reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, visited the Cave of Hira after his triumphant return to Mecca?

Visiting the Cave of Hira is not an act of worship. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not visit it after his prophethood, even though he used to worship there before it. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, resided in Makkah for varying periods after his prophethood, and he did not intend to visit the cave despite its proximity to him. This was because it was an act from the pre-Islamic era (Jahiliyyah), and the prescribed acts of worship, such as prayer and i'tikaf (seclusion) in mosques, rendered the act of going to Hira unnecessary.
