What is the ruling on working for a radio station that broadcasts various programs in addition to singing, knowing that the questioner has not found work for 12 years, is the sole provider for his family, and is about to get married?

There is no harm for a Muslim to work in radio if their work does not involve anything Islamically forbidden, such as preparing religious or cultural programs free from prohibitions. However, if they participate in preparing programs that broadcast songs or assist in doing so, they must abstain from that; due to the Almighty's saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty" (Al-Ma'idah: 2).
