What is the solution for a wife who repeatedly lies in the same cautioned-against manner, given the presence of a child and a pregnancy, and after previous instances of forgiveness?

The questioner did not specify the type of lie his wife told him, so it might be among the permissible lies between spouses, based on the hadith of Umm Kulthum bint 'Uqba that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "He is not a liar who reconciles between people, narrating good or saying good." In another narration: "And I did not hear him permit anything of what people say except in three matters: meaning war, reconciliation between people, and a man's conversation with his wife, and a woman's conversation with her husband."

The husband should handle the matter wisely, remembering the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Treat women kindly, for a woman was created from a rib, and the most crooked part of the rib is its upper part. If you try to straighten it, you will break it, and if you leave it, it will remain crooked. So, treat women kindly." And his saying: "A believing man should not hate a believing woman. If he dislikes one of her characteristics, he will be pleased with another." A man will not find a woman without flaws, for perfection belongs to Allah alone.
