What is the ruling on someone whose garment becomes impure during prayer; should he stop his prayer to remove it, or should he complete it?
If impurity afflicts the garment of a worshiper during prayer and settles on it, then if he is able to remove the garment, he should do so and continue his prayer, based on the action of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when he removed his sandals due to impurity on them and continued praying. However, if he is unable to remove the garment, he must interrupt the prayer, remove the impurity, and then restart the prayer anew, if there is sufficient time, because the persistence of impurity on the worshiper invalidates the prayer.
