What is the ruling on a husband who travels for work weekly, leaving his wife and children without financial support, then incites the children against their mother, sends her back to her family's home without financial support, and prevents her from working to support her children?

The evidence from the Quran, Sunnah, and scholarly consensus mandates the financial support of wives by husbands and children by fathers. Anyone who abandons his wife and children without support while being wealthy is sinful and oppressive. It is permissible for the wife to take from his money what suffices her and her child according to what is customary. If she is unable to do so, she should refer her case to the judiciary to compel him to provide support. The husband has no right to prevent his wife from working if he does not provide for her. A man inciting his children to disrespect their mother and hate her is forbidden, and he must repent and cease this injustice.
