What is the ruling of Islamic law concerning ill-treatment of the husband by his family and their interference in the couple's life, and what should the wife do about it?

We remind the husband of the virtue of his patience in dealing with his wife's family and repelling their harm with kindness, in accordance with the Almighty’s saying: "Repel evil with that which is best, and lo, he between whom and you was enmity will become as though he were a devoted friend. But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of righteousness]." He should continue to do so, for the one who treats his ill-treating relatives with kindness is like one who puts hot ashes in their mouths, and he will continuously have a supporter from Allah. Moreover, whoever endures injustice patiently, Allah will increase him in honor.
