What is the ruling on saying "Karam Allah Wajhah" (May Allah honor his face) for Ali ibn Abi Talib, and does this make him superior to all other Companions, and is it permissible to say "Karam Allah Wujooh Al-Sahabah Ajma'een" (May Allah honor the faces of all the Companions)?
"The attribution of the phrase 'May Allah honor his face' specifically to Ali ibn Abi Talib is a practice of the Rafidah, and Ahl al- should avoid resembling them by not singling him out with this supplication to the exclusion of other Companions. As for using this supplication for all Companions, there is no harm in it. However, what is authentically transmitted is to pray for Allah's pleasure upon them, as in the Quran: (And the first forerunners [in the faith] among the Muhajireen and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct - Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him, and He has prepared for them Gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever. That is the great attainment.) [At-/100]."
