The phrase "child martyr of Paradise" should not be used, as there is no supporting text from the Qur’an or , nor any statement from the righteous predecessors. A child is born upon fitra (primordial nature), but this fitra may be altered, as stated in the : "Every child is born upon fitra; it is his parents who make him a Jew, a Christian, or a Magian." This is further supported by the story of Al-Khidr killing the boy, fearing he would burden his parents with rebellion and disbelief, for the boy would have been a disbeliever had he lived.
