There is no objection to changing one's nationality by affiliating with another country, so long as it does not entail a religiously forbidden consequence, such as the loss of rights. Indeed, Allah Almighty made people into nations and tribes for mutual recognition, not for pride or tribalism. Allah Almighty said: "And We made you into peoples and tribes that you may know one another."
